Amidst all the hustle of moving and job and doctors appointments and apartment hunting, Andrew has been filling out secondary applications for medical school. This week, the work paid off!
We heard from EVMS in Norfolk a couple of days ago. They want Andrew to interview in October. We were very grateful that his first interview would be only a few hours away so we don't have to worry about plane tickets and rental cars. Andrew is a little nervous; people say it is a pretty intense interview, with lots of ethical questions.
Yesterday, Andrew got another request from VA Tech in Blacksburg. We only sent in the application on Monday, so we were very surprised to hear so quickly. And the interview is next week! Andrew's glad that he will be able to interview there first and see what it is all about. Andrew has a friend going to school there now, so we'll go and stay with them.
When it rains, it pours! But we are very grateful to be getting such positive responses. Now that we're this far, we're set -- how can you meet Andrew and not love him!
