Ultrasound Appointment

Our follow-up ultrasound was today. The fluid that had built up in his kidneys is mostly gone. There is still a little in his left kidney, but nothing serious. I was getting a little nervous about what would happen (the doctor mentioned in-utero surgery during our last visit!), so it was a relief to find out for sure what was going on. We will have another ultrasound on Oct. 11 to check and see how things are going. Andrew and I are relieved that we won't have to worry about surgery, c-sections, or other complications -- as far as we know.

The doctor didn't mention anything about his due date changing, but said he is "a perfect-sized baby". This was a huge relief since Andrew's side of the family keeps reminding me how big their babies are.
