A planned highlight of the trip--Virginia Beach!
We all packed into the family minivan, loaded the bikes & boogie boards on the back, and headed out on a two-hour drive.

An hour and a half later, we were stopped by the side of the road with a cracked radiator...and a seized engine. Roadside Assistance stopped right after we pulled over, filled up the radiator, and left again.

waiting for the rental cars to pick us up...Five hours after we left home, we arrived at the beach.

oh my gosh. i didn't realize it took you that long to get to the beach!
